Last updated: 7 October 2026

Thousand & One ("1001", "we", "us") respects your privacy. This policy explains what personal data we collect when you visit 1001.com.hk or contact us, why we collect it, and how we protect it. We handle personal data in line with Hong Kong's Personal Data (Privacy) Ordinance (Cap. 486).

1. What we collect

Information you give us

Our website has no sign-up and no forms. We only receive personal data when you choose to contact us, for example by WhatsApp, email or Instagram. This may include your name, phone number, email address, company name and anything you include in your message.

Information collected automatically

When you browse the website, we collect usage data through Google Analytics, such as the pages you visit, how long you stay, the links you click (including our WhatsApp and email links), your approximate location, device, browser and the website that referred you. This data does not tell us who you are.

Like most websites, our web server also keeps standard logs, which include your IP address, browser type and the time of your visit, for security and troubleshooting.

2. How we use it

We do not sell your personal data, and we do not use it for direct marketing without your consent.

3. Cookies and analytics

We use Google Analytics 4, which sets cookies to tell visits apart and measure how the website is used. Google processes this data on our behalf under its own privacy policy.

You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, or opt out of Google Analytics with the Google Analytics opt-out add-on. The website will still work without cookies.

4. Third-party services

Some parts of the website rely on services from other companies, which may receive your IP address and basic technical data when the page loads or when you use them:

5. Sharing your data

We only share personal data when we need to, for example with team members and trusted specialists working on your project, or with service providers that help us run our business. They may only use it for that purpose. We may also disclose data where the law requires it.

Some of these providers, such as Google and Meta, may store data outside Hong Kong.

6. How long we keep it

We keep enquiry and project information only for as long as we need it for the purposes above, or as required by law, and then delete it. Google Analytics data is kept for the retention period set in our Analytics account.

7. Security

We take reasonable steps to protect personal data from unauthorised access, loss or misuse. No method of transmission over the internet is completely secure, but we work to keep your information safe.

8. Your rights

Under the Personal Data (Privacy) Ordinance, you have the right to ask whether we hold your personal data, to request a copy of it, and to ask us to correct it. You can also ask us to stop using it for any purpose you previously agreed to. To make a request, email us using the details below. We may charge a reasonable fee for a data access request, as the Ordinance allows.

9. Children

Our website and services are intended for businesses and are not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The latest version will always be on this page, with the date it was last updated at the top.
